How does school bus GPS tracking work?

A GPS device fitted in each bus sends its location to Uptym's School Transport Management System every few seconds. Parents see the bus live in the parent app, and the school sees the whole fleet, routes and trip records on the admin dashboard.

Can parents track the school bus on their phone?

Yes. The Uptym parent tracking app shows the bus live on a map, the estimated arrival time at their stop, and alerts for pick-up, drop and delays. It works on Android and iPhone.

Do you install the GPS devices?

Yes. Uptym's team installs and tests the GPS devices on every bus and van, and sets up routes, stops, students and drivers with the school's transport team.

Is the system available outside India?

The School Transport Management System is built for schools anywhere. Uptym currently provides installation and on-site service across India, and can discuss partnerships for schools in other countries.
